I have a 1971 Fender Jazz Bass.
It's been modified with:
Bartolini single/split coils, John Eastman Active Electronics, a Bone nut and Hip Shot Tuners.
(I now have the ability to get any sound I want.) Grin

I also have a Rickenbacker 4003.
It's been modified with Bartolini Humbuckers.
( I couldn't stand the thinness and the noise of single coils.) Grin
